What type of shingles does

Elk shingles are laminated, made
with a thick layer of asphalt on each side of a tough
fiberglass base. Mineral granules, which add the color
and additional durability to the shingles, are embedded
in the top asphalt layer. Laminated shingles are
considered to be much better looking and generally have
longer limited warranties than ordinary three-tab
